Still Relevant After All These Years

I was recently looking for some resources on Seder suppers when I ran across your publication. In RW 6 (Winter 1987/88) I found just what I needed (Steve Schlissel’s article). Although I was able to read the article online I ordered a back copy of the issue so I could have it to read in print. What a treasure!

Although much of the content on liturgy (for example, on the Paschal Vigil) was old hat to me as an Anglican from the Catholic tradition, I was made to think about some things because the article was written to benefit an audience unfamiliar with that liturgy—it challenged some of my assumptions!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the entire issue, which I think is still quite appropriate twenty years later. I will definitely keep your website bookmarked and will check back from time to time.

Please accept my congratulations on your fine publication and may you be blessed by our God who raised Jesus Christ from the dead!

Pentecost Art

I wanted to thank you for Dean Heetderks’ article “Pentecost Flames” in RW 87. We made these banners at our church with children and teens painting and later stenciling after morning worship. The fourth to sixth grade boys liked the mixing of colors! I love the vertical blinds as a canvas. We used a red base color instead of the yellow. We hung two groups in the church narthex and one behind the pulpit. We didn’t hang them with as much motion as your article suggests, but the colors were great.
